Christmas at Chateau Railligan

This is our first (and last) Christmas in this apartment so I wanted to get a few photos of what we did with decorations.  Next year we’ll be in a house with walls we can paint and curtains we’ll bother to put up (knowing you’ll only live somewhere for a year rids you of any...

Growing up.

Good morning, readers.  Hope you’re warm on this very cold day.  Mike and I looked at a house last night.  One we really really like with SO MUCH SPACE for my future photography studio.  The location couldn’t be better and it’s got so much character.  We like character.  So we’re hopeful about this.  I’ll keep...

Welcome to the third and final installment of Little Miss Ava’s two-year-old photoshoot!  You can see the first installment here, the second installment here, and her one-year-old photoshoot here! After apple picking, we headed over to see the animals.  Ava was completely enthralled.  I love watching kids see new things. Then we headed over to...

Two Year Old Ava – Part Two of Three

Welcome to the second installment of Little Miss Ava’s two-year-old photoshoot!  You can see the first installment here, and her one-year-old photoshoot here! As you can see, Ava started perking up once those apples hit her system!  How cute is she?!?! Kerry: Ava, put an apple on your head.  Ava does so.  Kerry nabs this...

Two Year Old Ava – Part One of Three

Ava, her mum and I wanted to do something different for her year-two photoshoot (check out year one here!).  So we decided to do an apple picking shoot.  What resulted were some of my favorite shots thus far as a photographer.  And because of that, we’re going to have to share them with you in...

Christmas Storm

The “tea and biscuits” section of the blog is where we can hang out and get to know one another.  Imagine us in a small cottage in Ireland, sitting by the fireside under warm irish knit blankets with tea and chocolate biscuits to accompany our storytelling.  This is where we get to know each other, dear reader. ...

madden family portraits

Right after taking Baby Madden’s Christmas Card photos, the Maddens and I headed outside to take some family portraits.  I personally love the family portrait.  I think a lot of families focus on yearly portraits of the kids, which is great, but it’s also nice to have a yearly portrait of everyone. Though it can...

baby madden christmas card photoshoot

This afternoon I had the pleasure of taking Christmas card shots of Baby Madden.  We had a great time!  Is he not just the cutest?!?! Mama Madden wrapped a storage box like a present.  Brilliant idea! He was skeptical of Santa at first.  I suppose we all are.  At first. 🙂 Such a happy boy! ...

Oldies but Goodies – the mahoneys

One feature of the new website is a re-visit to photoshoots from the early days of Irish Eyes Photography.  Every so often, we’ll get to take a look back at where we first came from, and hopefully how we’ve grown since then too! Dear Readers, meet the Mahoney siblings. My fellow redhead, J., did not...

Year of Roo — 1 month.

“Roo” is my best friend’s baby.  And as a shower gift, I gave her a “Year of shots.”  Every month, my bestie, Roo and I get together and chronicle Roo’s life.  So far it’s only been 2 months but we’ve got some fun shoots planned for other months so keep coming back to see!  Babies...

Got a camera for Christmas and want to learn how to use it? Have you had a camera since ten birthdays ago and you STILL don't know how to use it? Are you just loving photography and want to learn more to better your skills? Well I've got the classes you're looking for.

I offer Beginner and Intermediate classes for grown ups and kiddos alike. Classes are for ages 10 and up. I separate the beginner classes into age groups (10-14, 15-18, 18+) so people can feel the most comfortable with their peers. I also offer private classes for the introverts out there!

Classes are usually in the winter/spring. In addition to scheduled classes, if you want a private class, or, have a group of friends that want to take a class together, we can plan that out. Just call or email me to let me know what you're looking for and I will make it happen! (It IS possible to have classes scheduled in the Summer or Fall but it's just trickier to schedule. So get in touch if you have a desire!)

All classes take place here at the studio in Downtown Hingham MA. At times we do take a walk around the area to stretch our photography skills but we don't venture too far.

Classes are limited to 7 students per class to keep things easy and afford everyone a chance to ask plenty of questions.

Subjects covered:

-COMPOSITION

-manual settings (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed)

-lighting

2019 classes:
