Introducing Parade Portraits!

I’m so excited to announce a *new* mini session offering.  As you know, I don’t focus too hard on mini sessions, but, after last year’s 4th of July Parade here in Hingham, I realized it was the perfect opportunity to do a similar setup as my famous Halloween Mini Sessions – only patriotic style!  So...

Irish Eyes Photography Community Photo Challenge Week #19: Gray

When I first put this challenge out into the group, it was “grey.”  It was pointed out that most Americans (and so far, all participants are American) spell it “gray” so I changed it.  How do you spell it?  I’ve always spelled it with an ‘e’.  I don’t know why but it makes more sense...

Mother’s Day Sessions with Irish Eyes Photography – Hingham MA

I started offering Mother’s Day sessions a few years ago.  To me, there is nothing more important than getting Mum in the pictures.  I always try to make a point of getting some shots of Mum with her kid(s) during regular family portrait sessions, but I loved the idea of this JUST being about Mum...

Irish Eyes Photography Community Photo Challenge Week #18: Flowers

This week’s theme was suggested by a member of the challenge community and it was the perfect time for such a great suggestion; spring has certainly sprung!  Everyone did a really lovely job with this one.  This gallery is so refreshing and looking at it you can almost feel the fresh spring air surrounding you. ...

At Home With the A Family – a newborn lifestyle session – Irish Eyes Photography, Hingham MA

There’s no doubt about it; lifestyle sessions are my absolute favorite.  What’s better than capturing YOU and YOUR family in YOUR space?  It tells your story on an entirely deeper level.  When you look back at your images someday, you’re not only saying “aw, look at how little Junior is” and, “remember that shirt you...

Irish Eyes Photography Community Photo Challenge Week #17: Calm

Typically when I post these galleries, I am either doing it from the waiting area of my kids’ swim classes, or, if it’s my husband’s turn to take them to swim, I do it from home.  Last week, it was my husband’s turn to take them and it was a gorgeous day so I was...

Irish Eyes Photography Community Photo Challenge Week #16: Wet

April brought a LOT of showers and therefore it was pouring when it was time to choose a theme for last week.  As I drearily gazed through the droplets on my window for the umpteenth day in a row, the idea came to me.  I figured with all that rain it wasn’t a difficult challenge...

Got a camera for Christmas and want to learn how to use it? Have you had a camera since ten birthdays ago and you STILL don't know how to use it? Are you just loving photography and want to learn more to better your skills? Well I've got the classes you're looking for.

I offer Beginner and Intermediate classes for grown ups and kiddos alike. Classes are for ages 10 and up. I separate the beginner classes into age groups (10-14, 15-18, 18+) so people can feel the most comfortable with their peers. I also offer private classes for the introverts out there!

Classes are usually in the winter/spring. In addition to scheduled classes, if you want a private class, or, have a group of friends that want to take a class together, we can plan that out. Just call or email me to let me know what you're looking for and I will make it happen! (It IS possible to have classes scheduled in the Summer or Fall but it's just trickier to schedule. So get in touch if you have a desire!)

All classes take place here at the studio in Downtown Hingham MA. At times we do take a walk around the area to stretch our photography skills but we don't venture too far.

Classes are limited to 7 students per class to keep things easy and afford everyone a chance to ask plenty of questions.

Subjects covered:

-COMPOSITION

-manual settings (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed)

-lighting
