Roo's Latest!

Yes.  I know, I have a problem picking "just a handful" of photos sometimes.  But you'll understand why.  This photo session with Mz. Roo was just so much fun.  We played around in my home this time, for a change of scenery (and also to take advantage of my yard).  She is in a great stage right now where she's hilarious and makes funny faces, but, more importantly, is fun to watch as she discovers the world around her.  She's practically walking these days.  This year has gone by so fast.  I can't believe it's almost over.Anyway.  Onto the photos.  I hope you enjoy them.  I certainly had a blast (as always) hanging out with Roo and her Mum.

I feel like she's telling me a juicy secret in this one. :)Grins galore. Those eyes!Saying 'hi' to her Mum. :)Our "Reader" photoshoot in the backyard.  Roo's parents are both bibliophiles and it looks like she'll be taking after them!Vintage Roo.She has such a great profile.

This was after we made fun of her for being afraid of grass.  LOL... an appropriate response, I guess.  :)

This has to be my absolute favorite.  Quite pleased with herself for taking such a great photo.  She was clapping. Such a happy girl.  :)  This is an example of why you shouldn't delete photos from your camera because you think they're bad.  This was a terribly over exposed picture.  But I sort of loved something about it so I played with it a bit and made it black and white.  I love how it came out.  Her eyes look so intense.  This might not be the photo that her parents will choose to display in their home, but it is something fun and different.  I'm glad I didn't delete it. This, however, might be the photo her parents put over the mantel.  LOL I guess it was a hard day, being a model!!!  This cracks me up every time I look at it.  It cracks her mother up too, which is why I know it's OK to post it here.  Ugh, so sweet.  I love the way her eyes smile.  Vintage baby again.  :)

She kept looking out the window and calling for her Dad.  It was quite adorable. Then, she discovered my stairs.  She doesn't have stairs in her apartment, so this was a new discovery for her.  And, much to her mother and I's surprise, she mastered them a little to quickly for our liking!!!HAHAHA.  I can't wait till this child speaks.  She's going to be so flipping hilarious.  Look at that face.  I could come up with so many captions for it!And this is just too adorable for me to deal with. She was playing peek-a-boo.... and then realized too suddenly that she was leaning further than she could handle.  Luckily, the whole time, Mum was inches away to protect her baby.  The look on her face in this one is that moment when it went from funny to ..."oh wait, I'm not so sure about this!" That look of determination as she figures out how to climb stairs.  Look out, parents!

This session has about 50 more images that are absolute keepers, but I'll spare you the gushing over my friend Roo and save those for her parents.  I can't believe our "Year of Roo" is coming to an end and my little buddy is almost one!  Maybe I can talk her parents into letting me come by every month until she's like, 30?  LOL.
