The G Family - Eastern Nazerene College, Quincy, MA

I received an email from young Mrs. G. (a brand new client) asking if I could fit her and her family in before the holidays for some Christmas card pictures and lots of extended family portraits.  I had ONE time slot left that would work and crossed my fingers that this was all going to work out for her.  It did!  The morning of the photo shoot I woke up to the first snow of the season.  I mentioned how lovely snow would make the photo shoot in hopes they wouldn't want to postpone due to the weather.  Luckily, they were all just as awesome as I had assumed and we went ahead as planned.  We just changed the location to Eastern Nazerene College in Quincy so if people got cold they could go inside to warm up and we were good to go!  What a wonderful turn of events.... I LOVE how this shoot turned out.So we have 3 couples here.  From left to right in the above photo, the M Family, the G Family (senior) and the G Family (junior).  The wife from the M family and the husband of the G Family (junior) are brother and sister, and belong to the G Family (senior).  Are you following along?  There may be a quiz...

Little G and his curls.  So adorable.  I love this candid shot of him waving and being excited.  That's what it's all about, folks.

The main goal here was to get a number of group shots of everyone together.  Then some of each individual family.  So, with the chill and snow in the air, we went to as many lovely spots on campus as we could in our time together and everyone was so pleasant and fun to work with.  What a gorgeous family.  And, seriously, how well coordinated are they?!  Without matching, they NAILED IT for doing a group shoot.  This is not an easy task when you're working with different families!  I was (and still am) super impressed.  They looked perfect. Little M is one seriously adorable baby.  He was so happy the entire time.  What a trooper!  And his hair is awesome. The two that started it all.  They are adorable.  So sweet. I love the smile on Little M's face while Little G is patting him.  I also love the snowflakes falling.  :)The bench series is probably my favorite for the individual family shots.  The snow was falling slowly and creating this really gorgeous scene on an already beautiful location while each family got to snuggle up close.  It was just... right. For the G Family (junior) the photo below was their Christmas card this year.  Mrs. G. picked a great design from my collection that complimented it perfectly.  The finished product was flawless.  She has excellent taste. I love that I caught these two sharing a giggle together.  I mean, c'mon!  A bunch of models, they are!

Mrs. G and family, thank you SO MUCH for choosing me for your portraits this year.  You were all so wonderful to work with and I truly hope we'll work together again in the future.  Maybe next year we'll shoot for a summery session just for something different. :)
