K&C Save The Dates - Irish Eyes Photography - Weymouth MA

You'll remember two years ago I had the distinct honor of photographing my sister's engagement.  Not her engagement session... her actual engagement, in action.  It was amazing and one of the coolest things to be a part of!!!  Well, when it came time to make Save the Dates, my dear sister wanted to do some special portraits because of the very adorable banner she had found on Etsy (Etsy always makes me want to have new photoshoots from stuff I find on there hahaha).  So we setup this session TWO autumns ago (whoa) and I'm blogging about it now because the wedding has passed and the busy season of mine that came after the wedding has now passed.  While these two are now a happily married couple, let's go back in time and check out their very fun Save the Date session! We shot these at sunset at the Ames Nowell Park in Abington MA.  It's such a beautiful location and one I hope to take advantage of more often.  Meet K, C and their gorgeous pup Isla.  Isla ends up stealing the show and helping us create adorable Save the Date cards.  Read on.All adorable shots.  All gearing up to give us wonderful Save the Dates. Then I took this shot.  And Isla made that face.  When I uploaded these to my computer, I laughed so hard.  As soon as K & C saw it, we all agreed we had to work it into the card somehow because it was just so funny! This last one was taken right AFTER sunset.  I love it.  I love the darkness of it.  It's cozy and interesting and has great depth.  I love it.And now, onto the card designs themselves.  Here was the front...And here's the back!  Isla's rolled eyes made for the perfect little joke on the back.  And, it segued into the video they (and the rest of the wedding party) made to get everyone excited for the big day.  From the Save the Dates to the video to the wedding itself, this was one hell of a fun wedding experience.  I'm so happy for them and I'm so honored to have been a part of so many of the moments! And no, I wasn't their wedding photographer.  I spent the evening Maid-of-Honoring, taking care of the Ring Bearer and Flower Girls, and then when they went home, dancing the night away with my hubby and the bride and groom.  It was fantastic.  :)-Kerry:)
