Mini Sessions for Ukraine
I feel helpless. I feel angry. I feel sad. And like every Type-A person out there, I feel extremely frustrated I can't just FIX THIS. We've been donating to charities we see doing good work over in the Ukraine but I still feel like I could do something else. As a photographer, other than trying to be a war correspondent, there's not much I can do.
...or is there? I thought about all the good work we did with the Front Steps Project at the beginning of Covid ($10,000 for Weymouth and Hingham Food Pantries!) and thought, what if we did something like that again? So, let's do something.
Let's meet outside my studio on Saturday, April 9th for quick shots on/around gorgeous North Street in Hingham. We're going for simple here a few great shots with the focus on YOU. This could be good for families, headshots, quick engagement portraits -- you name it. As long as you can stand on the sidewalk and get together, you can choose this session. A bonus if you'll put blue and yellow lines of faceprint on your cheek(s) at the end so we can create a gallery of love for our fellow humans fleeing Ukraine (but not required). If it rains, we'll move it inside the studio with lights and a backdrop.
These will run much like my other mini sessions (i.e. Christmas/Santa/etc) so I’ve put the session fee at my usual mini session price point: $175. If you’d like to donate more, you can add it to the gratuity portion of the invoice and I’ll include that in the donation. If you need to donate less for personal reasons, email me and we’ll make it work. Just like all of my other mini sessions, you'll meet me two weeks later to review your order and choose what prints/products you'd like. These meetings can be in person or over zoom. This is when you'll view your images with me and put your order together. There is no minimum order requirement and these sessions are fun and relaxing.
If you have questions before you book feel free to reply to this email. You can also take a look at my product catalog to get an idea of what's available to you. Otherwise, if you're in like Flynn, click the image below to book your time. (Sunset is at 7:18pm that night to give you an idea of timing.)
Curious what the backdrop of the sessions might look like? This is just a sample of images taken directly in front of or across the street from the studio. While these are all solo portraits and headshots, I am very excited for having some family shots with this background!
I can’t wait to work with you and to help our Ukrainian neighbors. Here’s the link to book again. Let me know if you have any questions.
