Every month, I will take a photo of my daughter sitting in her Uncle Chris' childhood rocking chair.  Here is her first monthly photo...My intention is to take and post these photos on her monthly birthday.  This photo was taken on May 6th (her monthly birthday) -- but I didn't get a chance to post it until today.  Oddly, today seems fitting for a moment of celebration of my daughter.  You see, she was named after a literary character --- Rosie from The Sign on Rosie's Door by Maurice Sendak.  This, and other books by Sendak, were turned into a children's musical with music by Carole King titled, Really Rosie.  I have loved this story, musical, and all things associated with it since I was introduced to them in the fifth grade.Sadly, today, Mr. Sendak passed away.I can't thank him enough for the influences he made on my life and now, my daughters.  May you rest in peace, Mr. Sendak.-Kerry
