Lisa - Weymouth High School Class of 2013

Today I have another new client to share with you.  The fabulous Mz. Lisa.  It was supposed to rain for Lisa's shoot... and rain hard.  Um, it didn't.  Quite the contrary; at first we had to find places where the sun wasn't AS bright!  I love when the weather is on our side.  The above photo was taken near the end of the shoot, which is why the sun has set.  But, how fun of an introduction is THAT?!  Lisa was so fun -- and had some pretty amazing leaps in her back pocket. Before leaping for joy repeatedly though (I guess a session with Irish Eyes Photography does that to people hehehe), she posed for some GORGEOUS portraits.  Seriously, this girl is a beauty. She has such a lovely personality.  It shines through her incredible eyes and smile.  Her mother accompanied us during the photoshoot and it was easy to see where Lisa learned to be so sweet.  We also seemed to be quite famous; this is another session taken at Webb Memorial State Park, and, almost every single passerby on this gorgeous evening seemed to know Lisa and her mother.  It was awesome!  I love hanging with local celebrities.  Maybe they'll rub off on me. :)I rarely had to instruct Lisa to smile a certain way; I just let her chat with her mother and I like usual and snapped away.  This is my favorite way to get natural portraits of people... just let them be.  Lisa is so stunning and comfortable with herself, it was an easy job for me that day. Here's a fun one: when my subject gets a bit tired of smiling so their eyes glaze over and their smile isn't as real, I tell them to relax completely and look at the ground.  To take a deep breath.  And I'll count to three.  When I count to three, look at my camera -- INTO my camera -- as if it's your best friend.   Sometimes, I snap a photo while they're relaxed and I'm counting.  Here's an example of that...Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?! Oh man.  I love this.  Stunning. And, here is the photo I took at the count of three.  Even more stunning.  Well done, Lisa.  You are a natural.I love the light through the trees in this next one.  Seriously, for a day that we were almost certainly going to postpone our shoot, the weather surprised us and made for some amazing captures!Lisa looked so naturally beautiful surrounded by greenery and the ocean in the background, that I decided to put a little greenery into her naturally curly (and gorgeous) hair.  I love the ethereal look some of these shots have. If Lisa decides to become a model, and, I think she totally could, I think this next shot should be on her resume.Work it girl!  Love the sunlight in that one!  Lisa, a lover of photography herself, mentioned that she loves when there's a catch of sun in photos -- where a ray of light is shining through.  I think she'll be happy to find her gallery has lots of those for her to delight in.It was an awesome evening.  Good luck with everything, Lisa!  I'm so happy to have met you!-Kerry:)
