Oh my friends. I am probably going to crash the internet with this post but there are just too many photos I want to share with you from this stunning wedding. Not only are Janine and Richie an incredibly gorgeous couple, but they exude joy and love. Their wedding was perfect. It was gorgeous, classy yet without pretense, and downright FUN. I had a ball. I'm going to miss editing their photos because I feel like I got to hang out with them every time I sat at my computer!
When I pulled up to Janine's parents' house (the location for the girls to get ready), I was greeted by a chorus of bridesmaids belting out pop hits from the 80's and 90's. I immediately grinned a big fat grin and knew this was going to be fun.
I was so right.
These girls were AWESOME! Everyone was there to have a good time. So everyone did! Simple as that!
I love the robes! Hint hint, little-sister-getting-married-next-year!
On their bachelorette party trip, they recreated the Bridesmaid movie poster. So of course we had to do it again this time! Werk it, gurrls.
Every. Single. Bride does this. The boob hold. Of course, most of us don't look as good as Janine while doing it. Haha.
Absolutely. Positively. Stunning.
This is just the beginning of why I love this girl.
Janine's mom is loveliness defined. After I grabbed the above photo, I turned to see Mom coming downstairs and taking her first look at her daughter dressed as a bride. It was a beautiful moment.
Janine's Dad. Such a handsome guy.
This was when Dad first saw his girl. Me thinks there might be a tear in his eyes..
Outside, the neighbors had gathered around to see the beautiful bride and all her gorgeous attendees. Every time I opened the door for something they would all clamor to get a glimpse of Janine. It was adorable. Made me miss city living.
Saint Theresa of Avila Church is unreal. What a remarkable church.
YAY!! MARRIED!
Seriously. So. Much. Joy.
As we waited for the guests to file out, we hid in the back corner of the church. I saw this light and thought it created some really fun drama. So we played a bit while we waited. It resulted in some incredibly intimate portraits.
LOVE this candid one. I edited this one two different ways in case Janine and Richie preferred Richie to be lit up better, but I love that he's a bit in shadow.
After formal portraits, we were on our way out and someone stopped these two for a photo. I nabbed the side shot and I LOVE IT! Gorgeous. Such happy faces.
They met at The Sly Fox where Janine is a barmaid. So of course we had to stop by on the way to the reception to grab a few shots! We got there and the bar was filled with wedding guests! Guess everyone had the same idea! We couldn't fit inside for some portraits so we improvised with the front stoop. This was so fun.
Absolutely gorgeous cake.
The Tirrell Room has a gazebo out back (many of the people who use the hall for their reception actually hold their ceremony here). It was clearly the perfect place for some quiet time with the bride and groom. I told them to bring their drinks and just hang out with each other while I shot away.
I love how much they make each other laugh.
Oh man, folks. As you can see, it's been an amazing wedding so far. But everything to this point is nothing compared to how awesome this reception was! These people know how to have FUN! (Psst., it's because they're Irish. ;) )
This was the first guest shot I took of the night. It's a good marker for what's to come.
First dance. Love the joy.
Their guest book required guests to take a shot of themselves with this instant camera. You know I couldn't resist a ring shot on a camera, right??? I also took a photo of myself and signed the guestbook. This genius took the photo upside down. Who hired me?!?!
I love this shot of Richie and his Mum. She was so shy and kept trying to escape me. Yet she was so lovely and lovely to photograph.
I'm sharing this photo because I feel the need to point out how I captured the droplets of her wine spilling. Can you see them? LOL. Also, she was doing a really fun dance. There are even more pictures of said fun dance, but, folks, wine droplets floating in space. C'mon.
YES.
They had just found each other on the dance floor after a while of being apart. May they always be that happy to see each other. :)
Yup. That's the groom. Being thrown up to the ceiling. Don't worry, they caught him.
Seriously. So fun.
Janine and Richie, you guys were so amazing to work with. I hope this is just the beginning of your relationship with Irish Eyes Photography. Congratulations on having THE PERFECT WEDDING and for bringing so much joy to the world. I can't wait for you to see the rest of your gallery.
Speaking of that... here it is!!! http://irisheyes.instaproofs.com/store/
The password is your wedding date (xx-xx-xxxx) without the dashes. All who attended should know it so they may access it easily.
Thanks again for hiring me! It was 100% my pleasure to work with you both!
