Fairy Mini Sessions!!!
Those of you who know me know I ONLY do two Mini Session events every year: one for Halloween and one for Christmas. Well, I'm breaking tradition this year.
Introducing Fairy Mini Sessions!!!!!
I actually created two flyers for this idea:
Here's how this all came about...In the first shot, you'll see a dancer posing in her recital outfit. Her mum and I were discussing how the pose lent itself to something magical. I tinkered around with it, and added the star she's reaching for. Then just for fun, I did the above image of her in the flower. I realized it was actually sort of awesome even though my intentions were to just be silly and fun. It was such a hit the idea for fairy mini sessions was born!!!The second image is an example of my daughter running in our backyard (the location for the mini sessions). This is to show that while I do have a few fun backgrounds like the flower to play with if it seems fit, there might also be images where adding just a bit of whimsy to the natural backdrop that's already there might be great as well! So, there are lots of fun options.When I put together the first image, I loved how magical the subject looked and how knowing excited she would be when she saw it. I want all our girls to have something fun and pretty like this. Which is why I'm including a 16x20 print. Just imagine your daughter having this magical image in her room (or somewhere else in the house) to look at and celebrate that magic that's within her.Some answers to questions you might have:Q: How do I book???A: Get in touch and we'll pick a time. I'll send you a contract and, once you send that back with your payment IN FULL, your time slot will be reserved. Time slots are not reserved until payment is received.Q: Speaking of dates and times... when is this awesome event happening??A: Saturday and Sunday, August 22nd and 23rd, 2015. Times will be between 4PM and 7:30PM.Q: What do my fairies wear?A: you can dress them however you'd like. Tutu's are great, so are regular dresses. Or even pants! Whatever suits your little fairy. Keep the wings and wand at home though; I'll add wings in photoshop to create a realistic illusion (as you see above). And some other whimsy as well.Q: Is this only open to female fairies? What about age restrictions?A: If you have a non-female fairy that wants to play, then they are more than welcome and encouraged. And there is never an age restriction with Irish Eyes Photography! I actually have an incredibly adorable basket for newborn and infant fairies, if any of you new mums are interested. A maternity image could be pretty amazing as well. Oooh...Q: What if I have multiple children that want to be photographed? Do I do two sessions? How does that work?A: Really that's up to you. Just like with Halloween Mini Sessions, if you want an image with more than one child together, you just need one session (and it's $15 per extra child due to the extra work of adding wings etc). If you'd like individual pictures of each child, you need individual sessions. Q: Will I get to choose the 16x20 image from a gallery or will you pick it like you do at Halloween Mini Sessions?A: You will get to choose your favorite from a small gallery. The 16x20 is just included in your session price. You are welcome to buy more prints, frames, canvases, etc.Q: Do you plan on doing different poses (close ups etc) or just the two poses on flyer? What about props?A: These will be completely candid so that I capture you child(ren) as they would be comfortable. Those are just examples of what sort of look I'm going for. There will be no other props -- the simpler the better so, even though it's fantastical, it will still look somewhat realistic.
