Christmas Storm

The "tea and biscuits" section of the blog is where we can hang out and get to know one another.  Imagine us in a small cottage in Ireland, sitting by the fireside under warm irish knit blankets with tea and chocolate biscuits to accompany our storytelling.  This is where we get to know each other, dear reader.  So please share your stories too!Every 2nd weekend in December, Mike and I prepare for the storm... the storm of Christmas Parties.  They're all fantastic and great nights out, but they're all one-right-after-another.  And it gets a little insane.  Last year we actually had 5 days of parties with 3 parties in one day!  WHAT?!This year, it's just one party a day for 3 days in a row.  Two of them are fancy-dress work parties, and the other is a sweater-and-jeans extended family get together.  Luckily, that's the last one so we will totally appreciate the sweater and jeans ensemble.I can't believe it's Christmas time already.  I have this fear that we'll end up moving again... not because we have any reason to, but because we moved on January 2nd last year and it was INSANE.  As I opened the boxes full of Christmas decor this year, I looked at Mike and said, "If we end up finding THE PERFECT HOUSE this month and have to move amid christmas decorations again, I think I may need to be committed." There's no sight of that possiblity coming up... though... one of my favorite houses in the town went on sale and just reduced their price so we may actually try to jump on it if, after we see it, it is as amazing as we expect (can you say photography-studio-over-the-garage?!?!).  But still, the fear is there.  It was so hectic last year with the storm of Christmas parties and moving and experiencing our first Christmas together as a couple... it was just... a lot.   A great lot, but a lot none-the-less.So, with it being the Friday of the second weekend in December, we're a bit frazzled with all the things to do when all we want to do is hibernate (or take photos) but we're still happy and healthy and feel blessed that we get to be this busy.Once I'm done getting ready for a party, I'll post some photos of our decorated apartment.  As hectic as it is, I freakin love Christmas-time.What are YOUR thoughts on the Christmas season?-Merry Kerry:)
