Caitlyn and Billy E-shoot

Jumping right into business after our hiatus, we're starting with a gorgeous couple who had their engagement photos taken at their alma mater --- Boston College!  The campus is STUNNING and offered so many amazing spots for photos!!!  Luckily, Caitlin, our fabulous bride, had mapped out all the places that were important to her and Billy.  With a few stops along the way into random alcoves that just ached to be photographed, we had a great time.

Billy was somewhat unsure about the whole engagement-shoot thang (as many men people can be).  You'd NEVER know it though; he takes one amazing photo after the next!  This couple is so photogenic it just made my job easier and easier as the day progressed.  But for those of you worried you might be nervous or don't like having your photo taken, engagement shoots are the best place for you to shine.  Why?  All you have to do is look into your loved ones eyes and the pictures practically take themselves.

And, clearly, love was certainly in the air.  :)

Love those arches!   With many of these photos, I would position the couple and then walk away.  They'd start talking and just relax into their normal routines with each other.  And that's when the magic happens.  It's very easy to capture the truth of a couple's story when they're just being themselves.

I would swear we were in England, Scotland or Ireland with some of the fantastic architecture Boston College provided us.  Love it.

Though I do tend to let people take natural, candid poses, sometimes, ya gotta throw some kisses in.  ;)  How romantic are these two?!

And of course, we always throw some smiling ones in... those are usually the favorites of the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.  They're also usually the best suited for engagement announcements in the newspapers!

I swear these two have modeling backgrounds and just aren't telling me.

Caitlin and Billy have a great history with Boston College.  They met there, became friends, and then fell in love.  Almost all the members of Billy's family went to BC and his dad's hockey photo is up in the arena because he went on to play professional hockey (even for our own Boston Bruins!).  Picking such an important place to be the background for their photo shoot was a great idea.  And, it allowed us to have a little fun!!!

Ironically, "C"aitlin is from "C"hicago, and "B"illy is from "B"oston.  So, the hats are doubly fun!

I can't tell you how much fun we had.

Caitlin and Billy get married in Chicago in August so Irish Eyes Photography won't be there on their wedding day.  But, we wish you both the very best of luck and hope you have a fantastic wedding (you will!).   Can't wait to see the photos!  With such a gorgeous couple...they're bound to be amazing!-Kerry:)
