Rosie Mae is Eleven Months Old!

Every month, I take a photo of my daughter sitting in her Uncle Chris’ childhood rocking chair.  Here is her eleven-month photo…

We chose the winner this month because it looks like she's getting ready to race toward the finish line - and, since the "finish line" is now less than a month away, it seemed appropriate.

...I cannot believe she is going to be a year old.

While I sit here in disbelief, here are some of the runners-up for your enjoyment:

We love this one, but she has stuff in her hands.  We don't like "stuff."  (And for those of you thinking, "that looks like the back of the baby hair brush you get at the hospital," that is because it IS the back of the baby hair brush you get at the hospital  Only the best toys for Rosie Mae.  Ha!)

This super sweet smile was our first runner up and we went back and forth a lot on our final decision.  But again, that poised look of determination above just had to win out. And now, some goofs from our goofball...Bahahahahah.  I can't stop giggling at this one:What a goof.

And then, after I helped her off of the chair, she climbed toward me and I got this shot.  I sort of love it in all it's slightly-blurry glory.

I'm still holding on to the hope that her twelve month/one year shot will be her standing confidently next to the chair.  This is as close as we got this time.  Rocking chairs are hard to lean on.  And now, the monthly recap:

Notice anything about the first photo and this month's photo???  Every shot so far has had a different backdrop.  I considered having the twelfth month use the same backdrop as the first month, but I want to do a special birthday backdrop for that one.  So, I went back to the first backdrop for this one.  We're getting close to the end.  I can't believe it.

I may have to do monthly shots for the first two years, like some people do.  I mean, why not?!  I don't think I'm ready to let go of my baby this tradition.
