Rosie Mae is 19 Months Old!

Every month, I take a photo of our daughter on her monthly birthday.  Here she is at 19 months...

This was another difficult month when it came to picking our favorite shot.  She was hilarious as she played in her bedroom.  Sometimes she was being her whacky self, and sometimes she'd strike an incredibly serious pose.  Both Mike and I were drawn to a few of the serious options (see the first picture below as our most loved one) but decided we needed a silly one in there since, remarkably, the majority of her 2nd year monthly shots are serious!  This cannot be how she is represented for years to come in our scrapbooks and such.  Why?  Because while our daughter does have a crazy mature streak where she can emote like an academy award winner, she is mostly made up of goofball faces and laughter.  So,  it was time to represent accurately.  Which is why we chose one with her sticking her tongue out.  Mission accomplished.

Ugh.  The one above melts me.

Rosie Mae recently moved from the nursery to her big girl room since her brother will be taking up residence in the nursery quite soon.  She is IN LOVE with her new room.  One of her favorite things?  This mirror with a shelf she can sit on.  As you'll note from the incredible muck all over the bottom of the mirror, she loves kissing it and making faces on it.  Yes, I said on it and not at/in it.  What good is a silly face if it's not smushed up against a mirror?!

Obsessed. Her room gets the best light in the house.  It's gorgeous in there in the morning.  This was after a somersault.  I'd say she was quite pleased with her execution. While she is still in her crib, we have a full bed ready and waiting for her when she's older.  She thinks sitting on the bed and reading a book is just about the best thing ever.  This face is another one that makes me giggle.  It was right before she stuck her tongue out.  Whackadoo. And then there's this shot.I hope you enjoyed our little visit with Rosie Mae this month.  It was fun to do her monthly shoot in her new room.  With the weather getting colder, we might revisit this setup again!-Kerry:)
