Quiet Season
After the holidays, we photographers enter our quiet season. Yes, we still have the odd portrait appointment here and there, and Valentine's Day usually provides a bit of an uplift, but otherwise, this is the time for us to catch up on things, fix anything that's broken, and get ready for the busy season to start up again in the spring. For me, this is an interesting quiet season because, this spring I will be on maternity leave... Yup, we'll be welcoming this little nugget into the world sometime around the beginning of April and I believe my hands will be quite full! For those of you thinking of booking a session, please still contact me... I am planning on trying to get some work in here and there, and your session could be one of them!Anyway. I have lots of plans for my quiet season. I thought I'd share them with you.BUSINESS PLANS:
- finally post some shots of our holiday cards for your perusal.
- post about the fabulous Long Island, NY wedding I shot in November.
- Re-Vamp my marketing materials for a great look when I return from maternity leave.
And here's the big one, folks:
- Give this website a lovely (and waaay overdue) facelift. This is the one I'm currently working on.
PERSONAL PLANS:
- Make Rosie Mae Railey a fabulous nursery to grow up in. I also plan to share some of the progress and final reveals with you!
- Organize our home as best as possible, so we are completely ready for a baby and have no other giant things to check off. We've been working on this one for about a week now, and we're already making crazy progress! Loving that!
- Go to lots of baby classes.
- Don't push myself too hard because, after all, even when I'm resting, I'm cooking a baby!
So, if you've arrived at this blog on a day where it seems nothing is going on -- well, probably a zillion things are happening over here!Stay tuned for some exciting changes. Not to mention, a pretty fun giveaway I've got up my sleeve....:)-Kerry:)
